A BASINGSTOKE man has been charged after he attempted to meet a child following sexual grooming.
Police were called by an 'online activist group' to Corby train station on Tuesday, August 22, at around 7.30pm.
Officers arrested 24-year-old Callum Brown, from Basingstoke, and he has since been charged with attempting to arrange/facilitate the commission of a child sex offence and meeting a child following sexual grooming.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Callum Brown, aged 24, of Basingstoke, Hampshire, has been charged with attempting to arrange/facilitate the commission of a child sex offence and meeting a child following sexual grooming.
"The charges relate to an incident which happened at about 7.30pm on 22/08 at Corby train station when an online activist group called us about a man who was attempting to meet a child."
He appeared in Northampton Magistrates court today (August 24) and was remanded back into custody. He is due to appear at Northampton Crown Court on October 5.
