A BASINGSTOKE company recently took part in a volunteering day at a local SEND school.

Established in June 2021, the company has grown from a team of two to a team of 30.
The company are big on giving back to the community, and each year dedicate a day where the team come together to volunteer time to those in need. This is the second visit Edison Smart has made to Maple Ridge Primary School after a successful trip last summer.

The whole of Edison Smart attended and was split into four teams. They redecorated a classroom and the school hall and, despite the rain, brought the school's sensory garden back to life again by getting rid of all the weeds, generally tidying up the area, fixing and repainting the summer house and planting some decorations.
The school has a special place in the company's heart as talent acquisition manager Jade Vincent’s daughter attends the school.
Jade said: “I am so honoured that Edison Smart is so proactive in being able to give back to our community but especially to Maple Ridge.
"The school is close to my heart and having seen the progress my daughter has made since starting in 2022 has been incredible. Being able to offer our time and support to make improvements to the school will make such a difference to all that attend.”
