BASINGSTOKE and Mid Hants athlete Ben Pattison has secured a spot in the 800m race final at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest.
Pattison, from Hook, made it to the final after an impressive third-place finish in the qualifying semi-final.
He achieved a notable time of 1:44.23 in the semi-final heat, solidifying his place in the final race.
In contrast, fellow Team GB athletes Max Burgin and Daniel Rowden faced disappointment as they fell short of making it to the final after their underwhelming performances in the semi-final heats.
Previously, Pattison qualified for the semi-final after finishing second in his heat race with a time of 1:46.57.
The highly anticipated final is scheduled for Saturday, August 26, at 8:30pm.
You can catch the event on various platforms including BBC TV, iPlayer, Red Button, Radio 5 Live, and the BBC Sport website and app.
