Grab your bucket and spade and get to one of these beaches while the weather is still hot.
1. Southsea
Portsmouth's pebbled seafront is home to some gorgeous views and is so much more than just a beach.
If you get bored of relaxing in front of the sea in the UK's only island city, you can head to the conveniently placed arcades, or grab some fish and chips from one of the various vendors.
Less than a mile away from the city centre, why not take a leisurely stroll along the seafront and make your way to Gunwharf Quays for a spot of shopping?
2. Bournemouth
The obvious choice for a seaside day out in the south, Bournemouth has a lot to offer.
Spectacular sandy beaches with a whole host of entertainment, including a ferris wheel and many fish and chip shops, Bournemouth has it all.
Take a walk along the pier and admire the beautiful views.
3. Boscombe
A family-friendly seafront transformed from a 1950s-style resort, this award-winning beach is perfect for families.
There is plenty to do, with climbing boulders, slacklining, table tennis and volleyball on hand plus equipment available to hire, Bosombe has it all.
4. Lepe
Lepe Country Park boasts impressive views of the Isle of Wight and has something for everyone.
It's family and dog-friendly and even has an adventure playground plus a multitude of spots to bird watch.
This historic site played a vital role in the Second World War D-Day landings, played host to the Royal Observer Corps during the Cold War, and was once a hotspot for smuggling.
5. Lee-on-the-Solent
Also known as Lee-on-Solent, this pebble beach offers fantastic panoramic views of the Isle of Wight.
There is plenty to do, with picnic areas available, and a shop to purchase fish and chips and ice cream, which makes for a joyful beach day.
