A BASINGSTOKE drink driver who was more than double the limit has been banned from taking to the roads for three years.
Dawid Niedziela, of Sinclair Drive, on August 10 drove a vehicle in Wilmott Way, Basingstoke, with 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
During a hearing which was held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on August 29, the 39-year-old pleaded guilty to the driving offence.

Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 36 months and ordered Niedziela to complete 80 hours of unpaid work.
Court costs of £40 and a surcharge fee of £114 must also be paid.
