A TEAM of former students from Robert May's School in Odiham has achieved third place in the F1 in Schools World Finals in Singapore.
The F1 in Schools challenge is a global STEM competition that sees students design, manufacture, and race a miniature Formula 1 car.
The challenge attracted an impressive 33,000 teams from 52 countries initially.
As the competition progressed, the world finals in Singapore featured only 68 teams, all of them national champions.

At the world finals, teams compete in a series of challenges, including a knockout tournament, a verbal presentation, and a car race.
Team Nightingale reached the final of the knockout tournament before narrowly missing out to Team Innovation of Australia.
However, they went on to win the Autodesk pressure challenge award and were also nominated for the verbal presentation prize, gaining second place in that discipline.
Finally, Team Nightingale earned a place on the winner's podium with third place overall.
Team Nightingale, consisting of Amber, Alistair, Harriet, and Charlotte, started their journey in Year 9 at Robert May's School.
They progressed through regional and national stages to reach the world finals after leaving the Basingstoke school and going on to their respective post-16 pathways.
Phil Cain, head of design technology and engineering at Robert May's School, said: "Our team have worked so hard and have not put a foot wrong all week - I am immensely proud of them."
