A MAN from Basingstoke has appeared in court after the dog he was in charge of allegedly mauled a cat.
Adam Day, of Dunwood Close, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 26.
It is alleged that on Thursday, August 10, Day caused unnecessary suffering to a cat called Kookie by failing to help a cat after a dog in his control mauled it.

It is also alleged that Day failed to comply with a community order made by the same court on May 30, this year, to keep a dog under proper control.
The court heard that Day is likely to enter a not guilty plea to the charge of causing unnecessary suffering but guilty to breaching the order.
He will next appear at Winchester Crown Cout on Wednesday, October 25.
He will remain on conditional bail until then.
