A BASINGSTOKE school has raised money for a UK cancer charity after putting on a fun run for students.
The student leadership at Costello had the idea for a summer fundraiser to raise money, with all proceeds going to the school's student choice charity, Cancer Research UK.
The colour run took place on Tuesday, September 26 and was run by Costello's year 11 student leadership - made up of enthusiastic students, house captains, prefects and members of the prom committee.

Alongside the run were a number of stalls put in place providing different services, such as Rhi's Necklace, a jewellery company set up by student Rohini Makwana with the help of friends Patti Prior and Emi Flood. Rohini is studying business at the school and, alongside her passion for jewellery decided to put the two together and start her own business.
Also on offer was a face and body glitter stall. Another was raising money for the Year 11 students' forthcoming prom, with Sebastians Action Trust, a joint guess the name and candy floss stand, and also a stall from YPI Counselling also present.
YPI Counselling is a registered charity offering confidential counselling to young people aged 11-25 in the Basingstoke and Deane area. Also on offer was a spin the wheel and higher or lower.

A student at the school, Frankie Whiting, said: "My favourite part was throwing paint at the other students coming through. It was so much fun. I love paint."
Another student Jake Lloyd-Davies said: "It was very fun and we absolutely loved it. We got covered running through the paint area, and I hope they do it again sometime soon!"
Student leadership coordinator and Costello PE teacher, Jen Borthwick, said: "All who attended had a fantastic time, got into the spirit of the event and went home covered in paint! What more could you ask for?
"Thank you to all students, parents, and guardians that supported the event, and a very big thank you to the staff, from setting up, to being sponged, to running and being covered in paint to all the things behind the scenes. I am very grateful for the extra time and effort you gave."
The school managed to raise over £150 for Cancer Research UK.
