She said: "Instavolt is another thriving Basingstoke business having recently expanded its premises in Basingstoke to meet the needs of its growing workforce. Instavolt now employs more than 100 people up from 44 people in 2022, bringing more skilled and highly paid jobs into Basingstoke”.

The company boasts the largest network of public EV charging points across the UK. It is also the first EV public charging point company to introduce contactless payment.
Dame Maria added: “It was good to hear Instavolt’s ambition to have 10,000 charging points by 2030, ensuring at the same time that their network continues to be well maintained and reliable.
"Basingstoke employers have changed in the past two decades from large multinational corporates to small and medium-sized firms like Instavolt who are rooted in our local community. That is why Basingstoke remains one of the top employment centres in the south east and the economic powerhouse of Hampshire."
