A CARELESS driver who was caught on the M3 has been hit with points on his licence. 

Claudiu Pop, from Bedford, on Friday, March 3 drove a Volvo Heavy Tractor Unit on the M3 and A303 near Basingstoke without due care and attention.

During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 2 the 46-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence.

Pop was handed five penalty points and a fine of £566, court costs of £110 and a surcharge fee of £226 must be paid.
