A FLAT in South Ham has been closed by police because of reports of drug activity at the address.
Hampshire Constabulary applied for a closure order for a flat in Woburn Gardens which was granted by Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 25.
The order, which is in place for three months, prohibits anyone from entering the address except for three named individuals, police officers carrying out lawful duty, a healthcare professional or ambulance/medical professional, and any member of Sovereign Housing Association carrying out professional duty.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We can confirm officers applied for a partial closure order at an address on Woburn Gardens on 25 September 2023.
“The order was applied for following reports of drugs activity at the address.”
Matt Hensby, assistant director for localities at Sovereign Network Group, which is the landlord of the property, said: “We have supported Hampshire Constabulary with their application for a partial closure order to try and resolve anti-social behaviour at this property and provide local residents with some much-needed respite and reassurance.
"As a responsible landlord, we're clear that we’ll do everything we can to help people retain tenancies, but persistent, impactful and negative behaviour like this won't go unchallenged.”
