AN INNOVATIVE children's swim school has expanded into Basingstoke due to ‘ongoing success’.

Puddle Ducks North Hampshire and Reading was taken over by a new owner in August and has since experienced rapid growth in its baby and child swimming lessons.

The swim school has now announced that it will be expanding into a new venue, The Hampshire Court Hotel and Spa, in Chineham, to meet demand. 

Lessons launched on Thursday, October 12, with swim teacher Trudie in the daytime and swim teacher Gemma after school.

Owner of Puddle Ducks North Hampshire and Reading, Lizzie Moore said: “We are delighted to expand our services into Basingstoke as it allows us to meet the growing demand in the area.

"With our lessons just launched, we can’t wait to welcome lots of new families from the local area through our doors.

“We have recently partnered with Mum2Mum Market Basingstoke as their sponsor and will be at their pre-Christmas markets. We’re looking forward to getting out into the community and meeting some lovely local families!”

Lizzie said that Puddle Ducks takes an innovative approach to swimming by employing teachers who can identify a child’s level of ability and adapt lessons and activities accordingly.

With small class sizes and the inclusion of rhyme and movement, Puddle Ducks’ teaching techniques mean they can nurture confidence and encourage natural swimming ability. 

The growth of the swim school has also led to the recruitment of several new team members.

Lizzie added: “As we expand, our aim is to continue using the latest techniques and ensure our teaching standards remain high. Children are at the centre of what we do, and we want to continue providing a fantastic experience to suit every child’s needs.”

Puddle Ducks provides swimming programmes for children up to the age of 10. Taught by experts, they focus on teaching independent swimming in a nurturing environment with individually tailored activities to suit all abilities.

Trisha Dublin, health club manager at the Hampshire Court Hotel, said: “Our venue is perfect for families as there is ample parking, spacious high-spec changing facilities and a bar that Puddle Ducks customers can have a drink and snack in after their swim, making it really convenient.
