A MAN has been charged with eight counts of theft in Basingstoke after more than £400 worth of items were stolen.
Leon Davies, 25, from Sycamore Tree Road, Oakley, has been charged with eight counts of theft from a shop.
It comes after officers received reports that items worth a total of more than £450 were stolen from various stores, including Superdrug in the town centre and Tesco Express on Carpenters Down.

The incidents all happened between Sunday, October 15 and Wednesday, October 25.
Davies is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Friday, October 27.
