A SPECATACULAR light parade will be held in Basingstoke to celebrate Diwali.
The colourful river of light will flow through the town on Friday, November 3 organised by Basingstoke arts organisation Kala the Arts.
Now in its third year, the exciting event brings people of all ages and different communities together to celebrate the festival of light.
Light It Up 2023 will feature a spectacular parade of hundreds of decorated lanterns, national dancers, drummers, creative new installations, and more, starting at the Top of Town at 6pm.

Flowing up Church Street, along Market Place and down Wote Street to the Amphitheatre in Festival Place, the moving theatre of dancers, musicians and performers will parade through the town before a free show is held with different South Asian dance and music by both international and local groups.
Sian Fisher, Festival Place marketing manager, said: “The parade is a spectacular way to celebrate Diwali.”
