A 10-YEAR-OLD boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car in Basingstoke.
The incident happened in Oakley Lane at around 3.30pm on Thursday, November 2.
The boy's injuries have been described as serious, but not life-threatening.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and an Abarth car on Oakley Lane, Basingstoke, shortly after 3.30pm today (Nov 2).
"The pedestrian, a 10-year-old boy, has been taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries, at this time, have been described as serious but not life-threatening.
"His next of kin have been informed."
There are no reports of any further injuries.
Oakley Lane was closed for nearly two hours after the incident. It has since been reopened.
