A TEENAGE girl has allegedly been sexually assaulted in Basingstoke.

According to police, the teenage girl was inappropriately touched by a man after she boarded a bus at Basingstoke railway station between 4.30pm and 4.40pm on Monday, October 2.

Police are looking to speak to a man in connection with the reported sexual assault.

He is described as being mixed race, 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build. He has short black hair and was wearing a grey jacket at the time.

Hampshire Constabulary said officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries since it was reported and are now turning to the public for help in identifying him.
