A £20m project to upgrade a major Basingstoke roundabout that started last year is due to be finished at the end of this month.
Works to the Brighton Hill Roundabout began in January 2022 after the project was delayed from starting in the autumn of 2021.
The major scheme was meant to take two years to complete, but an update from Hampshire County Council said it will finish at the end of November - the initial date given for completion.

The roundabout forms a key junction on Basingstoke’s A30 south west corridor and the project was agreed to alleviate congestion, particularly because of future plans to build more homes in the town including at Manydown and at sites along the A30.
The scheme has been designed to support this growth, reduce journey times and create an enhanced and safer environment for cyclists and pedestrians.
It includes widening and signalising the roundabout and adding additional capacity to its main arms.
During September and October the final road surface and road widening was completed, and line marking and traffic signals were installed and tested before they go live at the end of November.
Most of the surface water drainage is also complete, with only the drainage to connect up with Western Way.

On Wednesday, November 9 and Thursday, November 10 there will be a full closure of the A30(E) approach to the roundabout, A30(W) approach and departure, and Brighton Way for two nights to undertake surfacing, lining and traffic signal activities.
All works will take place from 8pm with the roads re-opening at 6am. Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties and businesses will be maintained at all times during the closures, including emergency services.
Hampshire County Council has been asked for further information regarding the completion date.
