TWO Basingstoke men have been sent to prison for drug-related offences with one caught because of his Nando's takeaway.
Harry Newey, 20, from Branton Close, South Ham, Basingstoke, and Emmanuel Kolapo-Ogundele, 20, of no fixed abode, appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Monday, November 6.
Newey and Kolapo-Ogundele were jailed for a total of five years and 11 months for drug and knife-related offences.

Officers caught the pair after police on patrol noticed a silver Audi A3 was driving at excessive speed along Pack Lane in Kempshott, Basingstoke, on December 29, 2022.
Officers followed the vehicle, which crashed into another car on Colyer Close, before the driver of the Audi fled the scene on foot.
Officers searched the vehicle, finding a pot containing 22 small bags of cocaine, with a street value of £1,100.
They also found a bag containing a Nando’s takeaway - a chicken burger, three wings, peri-salted chips, and a Fanta.
Following a search, the driver of the Audi was not located.
However, officers then attended the Nando’s restaurant at St Michael’s Retail Park, where they reviewed CCTV images and noted a man matching the description of the Audi driver.
Officers then requested the man’s receipt - a £16.90 order matching the food and drink found in the vehicle.
Following an investigation, the driver of the Audi who had purchased the Nando’s takeaway was identified as Newey.
Newey was arrested by officers in Roentgen Road on March 29, 2023. They found a large combat knife, lock knife, cocaine and cannabis after a search of Newey.
Further drugs were found after a search of Newey’s home.
Kolapo-Ogundele was detained by officers in Oakridge on March 17, 2023 after he was spotted on his bike.
He cycled away from the officers, before running into a nearby wooded area where he threw a rucksack on the ground.
Officers detained Kolapo-Ogundele and found suspected Class A and Class B drugs inside the rucksack worth more than £1,000 that had been dropped. Kolapo-Ogundele had a knife protruding from his waistband.
Suspected Class A and Class B drugs worth £1,465 were found at an address in Penny Black Lane, Basingstoke which was linked to Newey and Kolapo-Ogundele. The drugs were found following a search on March 22, 2023.

Newey and Kolapo-Ogundele were arrested by officers in Roentgen Road on March 29, 2023.
Officers found more than £1,000 in cash, cannabis, phones, and a machete on Kolapo-Ogundele.
Later that day, officers found suspected Class A and Class B drugs worth up to £8,200, a large amount of cash, phones, and drug paraphernalia at an address in Guernsey Close, Basingstoke.
Newey was jailed for three years and three months after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of a drug of Class A drugs including cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin; being concerned in the supply of a drug of Class B – cannabis; possession of a Class B drug; and possession of a bladed article x 2.
Kolapo-Ogundele was jailed for two years and eight months after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug, including heroin and crack cocaine; being concerned in the supply of a drug of Class B - cannabis; possession of a Class B drug; possession of a bladed article x 2; and possession of criminal property.
He was later charged with drugs and knife offences.
