AN AWARD-winning team of musicians and dancers will be entertaining an audience in Basingstoke with a festive show.
The Lock In 'Christmas Carol’ featuring The Demon Barbers will be at The Haymarket on Wednesday, December 13.
It’s Christmas Eve, and the regulars of The Olde Fighting Cocks are excited about the night ahead, it’s going to be the folk and hip-hop dance party of the year. To their dismay, the landlady, Jasmineezer Scrooge, has more profitable ambitions and is preparing to launch her new business… the ‘Oompah Techno Bar’.

Luminous lighting and mind-numbing bass beats are all in danger of alienating the community and ruining Christmas – but fortunately, some insightful souls are at hand to lead her back to her senses.
The Demon Barbers are a seven-piece folk-funk band who, since winning the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Best Live Act, have been immersed in the development of their Folk and Hip Hop dance extravaganza The Lock in. The performance also features artists from Breaking Tradition Dance Company, a new seasonal repertoire, and a slightly unhinged approach to their family-friendly stage shows.
Tickets are priced at £20.50.
