A £20m project to upgrade a major Basingstoke roundabout will continue into December.
As previously reported, Hampshire County Council said that works to the Brighton Hill Roundabout were due to finish at the end of November after starting in January 2022.

However, the council has now said that “minor works” will continue during December, with the scheme “substantially complete” by November 30.
The roundabout forms a key junction on Basingstoke’s A30 south west corridor and the project was agreed to alleviate congestion, particularly because of future plans to build more homes in the town including at Manydown and at sites along the A30.
The scheme has been designed to support this growth, reduce journey times and create an enhanced and safer environment for cyclists and pedestrians.
It includes widening and signalising the roundabout and adding additional capacity to its main arms.
