An initial community chat was held on Thursday, July 6 at Rooksdown Community Centre, where it was confirmed that £900m has been 'ring-fenced' for the new Basingstoke hospital, which is due to open in 2032.
The project is now progressing towards the next stage and public consultation. Plans have been drawn up throughout the past few years by an organisation called Hampshire Together, which is a group of stakeholders led by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board.
Those wishing to attend the community chat and find out more information can do so by registering for a free general admission ticket at eventbrite.co.uk/e/community-chat-new-hospital-for-basingstoke.
