A CHRISTMAS song has been released in memory of a Hampshire boy to raise funds for a charity set up in his name.
George’s Rockstars was set up after six-year-old George O’Shaughnessy died from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in August 2019.
George, from Portsmouth, was diagnosed with ALL in November 2014. ALL is the most common type of childhood cancer, with one in every 2,000 children developing it.
George's Rockstars was set up by George’s mother, Amy, to bring music therapy to all children’s cancer wards in the UK.

Currently, the charity supports four children’s wards in Hampshire - Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Winchester and Southampton.
George received music therapy during intensive treatment at Bristol Children’s Hospital, a time which his parents called "the highlight of George’s week".
Now, Daniel Ash, George’s music teacher at the hospital, has written a Christmas song in support of the charity, called Let's Make Christmas Loud.
The charity said that the song is "dedicated to six-year-old George and all the children who have to spend Christmas Day in a hospital due to illness and disability".

Daniel has described the song as a "catchy pop/rock love letter to the classic Christmas singles of the 70s/80s that we all know and love".
Charity trustee Nicola Wensley said that people can help by "performing it, posting it, asking celebrities to try and retweet it".
She added: "The moment people listen to the song they can donate it and buy it.”
The song will be performed live by Fleet Rock Orchestra in Festival Place, Basingstoke, on Saturday, November 18, from 10-11am.
The charity said that 100 per cent of profits raised from Let’s Make Christmas Loud will go towards providing music therapy for children in hospital.
