MAGISTRATES have fined a Watford man for attacking a woman in Basingstoke last year.

Krzysztof Kolasa assaulted the woman on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2022. He pleaded guilty to the offence during a hearing at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 8.

The 46-year-old was fined £540 and a restraining order was imposed, banning him from contacting the victim and another woman directly or indirectly except through another person.

He was also told to pay court costs of £500 and a £216 victim surcharge.

Another charge of criminal damage, which was alleged to have taken place on the same day, was dismissed.
