A FIRE was suspected to have been started "deliberately" at a block of flats in Oakridge.
A small fire, which was started in a communal stairwell at a block of flats in Oakridge Road on the evening of Saturday, November 18, is believed to be the work of arsonists, according to police.
Both police and fire services attended the scene, and no one was injured.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.22pm last night with reports of a small fire in a communal stairwell at a block of flats in Oakridge Road.
"The fire was extinguished prior to police attendance. No one was injured.
"The fire is suspected to have been started deliberately and police are investigating the circumstances."
