A MAN who damaged net curtains belonging to a woman in Basingstoke was fined, before breaching an order preventing him from going to the street where she lived.
Samuel Rolfe, of Quilter Road, damaged the item on Tuesday, November 7 and during a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 9, he pleaded guilty to the offence.
The 22-year-old was fined £40 and ordered not to enter the street in Basingstoke to protect the victim from further harassment.
On the same day as the court hearing, he broke the order by going to the road and appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates on Friday, November 10.
Magistrates jailed Rolfe for eight weeks, with the court register stating: “The order was breached on the same day that it was made and the offence is aggravated by numerous previous convictions.”
