A DANCE school in Basingstoke 'so excited' to perform at a major US sporting event in December.
Basingstoke Academy of Dancing (BAD) has been given the opportunity for eight dancers to perform at the half-time show for the American Football team the Miami Dolphins.
Dancers from BAD, along with several other dance schools in the UK, including Aimee’s Dance Academy in Poole, The Studios in Chiselworth and First Position School of Dance in Bournemouth, will rehearse the routine ready for the NFL game on December 11.

The sporting event, which will attract tens of thousands of viewers from across the USA, will see the Miami Dolphins play against the Tennessee Titans at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
The dancers will perform the routine at the game’s halftime, joined by the professional cheerleading squad for the Dolphins.
The event was organised by Pro-Excel, who professionally choreographed mass movement productions in the sporting world.
Principal of BAD, Tanya Schipelbaum said that she is excited to see the dancers ‘rock that Hard Rock Stadium for England!’

She added: “Basingstoke Academy of Dancing have a long history of working with Liam and Matt from Pro Excel on some major sporting events such as Wembley, but this new project at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, with the Miami Dolphins and their cheerleaders, is something just so special and exciting, we have to tell the world!
“This is such a stupendously exciting opportunity for 8 of our dancers (cared for by Vice Principal Charlotte West) - I have seen at rehearsals in person, that these 13- to 19-year-olds are absolutely working on a professional level and storming it.
“It is lovely for them to be working with so many other dance schools across England but in the South, they have rehearsed with Aimee's Dance Academy in Poole (thank you for your hospitality), The Studios in Chiselworth and First Position School of Dance Bournemouth - a true collaboration of sporting and artistic community spirit!
You Go! Ladies and ROCK that Hard Rock Stadium for England!”
