More than a year later, a Basingstoke woman has now been sentenced for causing Mrs Ward's death.
Helen Edwards, of Carbonel Close, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Monday, December 4 to be sentenced.
Edwards entered a guilty plea to the offence of causing death by careless/inconsiderate driving at the same court on Tuesday, November 21 this year.
The 52-year-old caused the death of Mrs Ward while driving a Ford Fiesta without due care and attention.
Magistrates ordered that Edwards be put on a curfew for three months and be electronically monitored for that period.
