BASINGSTOKE and Deane's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A303, from 8pm December 4 to 6am December 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 7, entry slip road and lane closure for drainage works, diversion route via National Highways Network.
• M3, from 9am November 28 2023 to 5pm January 6 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 6 to junction 7, hard shoulder closure for barrier repairs.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A303, from 8pm December 11 to 6am December 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to Highclere, carriageway and lane closures for structures inspection.
• A34, from 8pm December 12 to 6am December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Three Maids to Sutton Scotney Services, Lane closure for sign maintenance.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
