A BASINGSTOKE vet practice has appointed a new clinical director who is looking forward to maintaining the warm, welcoming environment at the popular animal hospital.
Fiona Walker has 15 years of experience as a vet and has joined the team at Linnaeus-owned The Barn Animal Hospital, in Paynes Meadow, Old Basing.
She has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery and complicated medical cases.

Fiona, who graduated from Melbourne University in Australia in 2008, said: “I’m excited to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to The Barn Animal Hospital, where we’re committed to providing the best care for pets.
“It will be an exciting year for the practice in 2024 as we welcome three new permanent and experienced vets to our team. Their skills and insights will further enhance the quality of care we offer.”
Fiona’s experience includes working in a small animal practice, including in emergency and critical care, in Australia.
She and her family emigrated to the UK in 2018 and she is currently completing an Advanced Practitioner Certificate in feline practice.
Outside of work, Fiona, who has two cats, enjoys exploring the UK and travelling with her two daughters and husband. She is also currently learning French.
