A POPULAR attraction has announced details of a new expansion project set to be the largest in its 54-year history.
Birdworld, near Farnham, will start work in 2025 - subject to planning approval - to create a 1,000 sq ft indoor play area along with an outside magical village.
The major investment will include a complete rebranding of the park.

The redevelopment, which will take place alongside upgrades to the neighbouring Haskins’ Forest Lodge Garden Centre, is aimed at creating a year-round destination for visitors.
Birdworld, which cares for 1,300 birds, will continue to strengthen its efforts in conservation and education for all ages. The development will provide learning opportunities throughout the park with an enchanting ‘fantasy forest’ concept along with play areas and information points for imaginative play.
The new indoor play area will be the largest in the region, offering a space for children to play on a woodland-inspired structure with innovative lighting.
Outside, children can let their imagination run wild in a magical village, themed around birds’ nests and featuring raised installations to explore, rope bridges, and fun interactive areas including climbing structures.

There will also be a focus on accessible play, with new access-friendly and inclusive installations around the park.
The café will also be refurbished and relocated, along with a newly designed entrance.
Matt Hill, Birdworld and Farnham development director, said: “This exciting expansion welcomes a new chapter in Birdworld’s rich and much-loved history.
"This transformation is not just a renovation, but a reinvention, creating a vibrant, year-round destination that will change the way families will learn through play.
“Embracing the essence of adventure and discovery, it promises to be a cornerstone for family memories, and is a testament to our commitment to enriching the lives of our community, offering an experience in wildlife appreciation and conservation.”
