THIS dashcam footage shows the finished Brighton Hill Roundabout.
As previously reported, works on the roundabout have finally been completed and the council declared it to be 'fully open' earlier this week.
The council has now said the roundabout is ‘fully open’ with minor work left to finish including street lighting connections and footway resurfacing which will be carried out during the rest of December.

As you can see, the roundabout is circumnavigable and new traffic lights have been installed, which are fully operational.
The works took nearly two years and caused much disruption throughout the period, including the accidental drilling through a number of cables, which caused a wifi and phone service blackout throughout much of the town.
Cllr Nick Adams-King, the county council’s cabinet lead for universal services, said: “I am pleased that this major traffic improvement scheme has been completed on schedule, by the end of winter 2023.
“The new roundabout is an important part of our plans to improve access to Basingstoke along the A30 corridor making travel easier for road users, including pedestrians and cyclists.
“Upgrading the road network here will also support the area’s regeneration by encouraging investment and generating jobs. We know there has been disruption during construction of the roundabout and I’d like to thank everyone for their patience over this time.”
What do you think of the changes, is the roundabout improved?
