A TEAROOM in Basingstoke has been celebrating an early Christmas present after being crowned the best traditional English tearoom in the southeast of England.
Parlour Tearoom, at Viables Craft Centre, announced the win via its Facebook page on Tuesday, December 12, saying it was 'in awe to now hold a title for the entire region'.
The tearoom was announced as the winner of the Best Traditional English Tearoom in the Southeast of England by Luxlife Magazine.

The Parlour Tearoom is a family-run traditional English tearoom nestled inside an old milking parlour.
The cafe was established back in 2010 and experienced a change of ownership in March 2017 when mother and daughter Lucy and Sharon Fisher took the reins of the business and made it into the tearoom.
Lucy, 27, said: “Receiving the news we are now named the best in the region has been something we only ever dreamed to achieve.

"It’s taken a lot of hard work and dedication and I am so proud of our tearoom's journey. We are excited to continue to grow the business and see where it takes us.”
Fellow business owner Sharon Fisher said: "It’s down to our wonderful customers and our fabulous team, their loyalty in supporting the family business has helped create the destination that we are today.”
The tearoom makes and bakes in the kitchen every day and can cater for vegans, dairy intolerances and coeliacs as well.
