A MAN has been arrested from Basingstoke on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman in her 50s.
Police were called to an address in Maldive Road in Basingstoke, by paramedics shortly before 4pm on Tuesday, December 19.
Officers attended the scene and arrested a 47-year-old man from Basingstoke on suspicion of murder.

He remains in police custody at this time.
Police said the woman’s next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Officers are at the scene while enquiries take place into the circumstances of the incident.
