A ROAD in Rooksdown is currently blocked due to a fallen tree caused by strong winds as Storm Pia hits the UK.
The tree, in Park Prewitt Road, is obstructing the road and has also knocked over a lamppost, which has since been removed.
According to a Facebook post by a resident in Rooksdown, Hampshire Highways were present at the incident, and energy company Enerveo were contacted to ensure the street light was safe.

A spokesperson for Hampshire County Council said: "We received a report of a fallen tree at Park Prewitt Road this afternoon, Thursday 21 December.
"Our Highways team visited the site and found that the fallen tree had also brought down a streetlight. The streetlight has now been removed and the tree is expected to be cleared in the next few hours.
"The road is not currently closed as road users are still able to safely navigate around the debris."
Enerveo have been contacted for more information.
