CHRISTMAS came early for the Basingstoke Probus Club, enjoying a festive meal to celebrate the holiday.
Basingstoke's Probus Club, formed in 1979 and made up of retired scientists, lawyers and professionals, celebrated Christmas with a lunch enjoyed by members of the group and their spouses at the Mill House Hotel.
The meal was hosted by the President of the group Dr Jeff Grover and his wife Mary, with arrangements made by husband and wife Alex and Sarah Marianos, ensuring that each couple had a Christmas gift to take home.

The club also has a separate group for women, called the Ladies’ Probus Club, which celebrated its 13th anniversary in August.
