DRIVERS in and around Basingstoke and Deane will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for next week.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M3, from 9pm December 9 2020 to 6am January 6 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 10, slip road closures for M3 concrete barrier scheme.
• M3, from 9am November 28 2023 to 5pm January 6 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 6 to junction 7, hard shoulder closure for barrier repairs.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M3, from 8pm January 2 to 6am January 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 9, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.
• M3, from 8pm January 3 to 6am January 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 6, exit slip road and lane closure for litter clearance.
• A303, from 9pm January 4 to 6am January 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 7, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.
• A303, from 8pm January 5 to 6am January 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 7, slip road and lane closures for drainage works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
