Musicians at St Mary's Church in Basingstoke gave a fantastic performance at Churchill Retirement Living’s recent event at Austen Lodge.
Musician Sue Redbond received a gift to remember when she was selected as guest of honour.
Sue was nominated as a ‘Festive VIP’ by colleagues who felt that she deserved a treat.
The event was attended by apartment owners and guests, who enjoyed festive food and drink, and songs performed by Sue and her fellow St Mary’s Church Musicians.

Churchill’s ‘Festive Cheer’ initiative had asked people up and down the country to nominate someone who deserved to be rewarded for their commitment to volunteering or charity work this year, or someone who is lonely or has faced some hard times, or simply a loved one who deserves to be spoiled this Christmas.
Caroline Haswell, senior marketing manager at Churchill, said: “Our Festive Cheer events were designed to spread some seasonal magic, and we’re delighted to have done that for Sue here in Basingstoke. We’d like to say a big thank you to the St Mary’s Church Musicians for their wonderful festive performance.”
