MORE than £4,000 has been raised by residents who came along to watch last year's panto in Basingstoke.
The Anvil’s pantomime The Further Adventures of Peter Pan was a huge hit with audiences, who loved the updated story, superb performances, and fantastic musical numbers.
Generous audiences raised more than £4,300 for The Musication Station, a popular community project that provides electric and acoustic instruments for people of all ages and abilities to try in locations around Basingstoke throughout the year.
Audiences could donate at the tills and via a QR code as well as the traditional bucket collections on exit.

This year’s pantomime will be Sleeping Beauty and will tell the story of a beautiful princess cursed by the evil Carabosse at her 18th birthday party and can only be awoken by true love's kiss.
The laugh-a-minute extravaganza will have stunning sets, top musical hits, fantastic costumes, and exciting special effects to keep audiences both young and old entertained.
