A MAN has been arrested after an 18-year-old man was seriously assaulted by a stranger in Basingstoke.
The victim sustained facial injuries including a broken orbital bone after being attacked by a man unknown to him on Friday, January 5, at approximately 11.05pm on Oakridge Road.
It was reported that a man exited a black/grey sports car, similar to a Golf GTI with underlighting, just before the junction with Upton Crescent and assaulted the victim.

A 23-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
The man remains in custody while police carry out their enquiries.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “Were you in the area of Oakridge Road at around 11pm on Friday 29 December and recall seeing an assault?
“We are particularly keen to hear from a person who was standing next to the Tesco Express store, who we believe saw what happened.
