A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the town centre this weekend, police have confirmed.
Several police cars were spotted near Victory Roundabout on Saturday, January 13, and the Gazette understands the underpass was cordoned off with police tape.
Police have now confirmed that a man in his 20s was stabbed.

Officers were called at 6.40pm to Churchill Way to reports of a stabbing.
He was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, police have confirmed.
A spokesperson said: "Officers will be in the area today conducting enquiries but we want to reassure residents that there is not believed to be any wider threat to the public.
