DRIVERS had a shock over the weekend after an air ambulance skilfully landed on a Basingstoke roundabout.
Hampshire and Isle Wight Air Ambulance were spotted by residents landing on Brighton Hill Roundabout just after 4pm on Sunday, January 14.
The crew were dispatched to an incident in the area, with curious locals travelling towards the roundabout to have a closer look at the helicopter.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance said: "Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance confirmed that the air ambulance was dispatched to an incident in Basingstoke at 16:15 on Sunday 14 January.
"The Critical Care Team of one doctor and specialist paramedic provided critical care to a patient in urgent need before returning to base. The air ambulance crew did not transfer the patient."
