BASINGSTOKE and Deane's motorists will have 13 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M3, from 8pm January 9 to 6am January 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 7 to junction 6, lane closures for inspection work.

• M3, from 9pm December 9 2020 to 6am January 25 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 10, slip road closures for M3 concrete barrier scheme.

And a further 11 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A34, from 8pm January 15 to 6am January 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Tothill, slip road's and lane closure for electrical works.

• M3, from 8pm January 16 to 5am January 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 9, entry slip road and lane closure for signage maintenance.

• A303, from 9pm January 17 to 6am January 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 7, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.

• M3, from 8pm January 18 to 6am January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 9, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

• M3, from 8pm January 18 to 5am January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 6 to junction 5, lane closure for electrical works.

• A303, from 9pm January 19 to 6am January 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 westbound, Stockbridge Road, entry slip road closure for grass cutting works, diversion via local authorities network.

• A34, from 8pm January 22 to 6am January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to Whitchurch, lane closures for drainage work.

• M3, from 8pm January 22 to 6am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 6, exit slip road and lane closure for litter clearance.

• M3, from 8pm January 23 to 5am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 7 to junction 6, lane closure for central reservation works.

• M3, from 8pm January 24 to 6am January 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 5 to junction 6, lane closure for barrier repairs.

• M3, from 8pm January 25 to 5am January 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 7 to junction 8, lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
