BASINGSTOKE athlete Jordanna Morrish has been selected to represent team England at the Tallinn Combined Events International in the Pentathlon.
She is a member of the Basingstoke & Mid Hants Athletic Club.
A silver-level event on the World Combined tour, the Tallinn contest is one of the most sought-after combined event competitions in the indoor calendar.
It attracts fantastic athletes from across the world.

The team comprises Sam Talbot (City of Sheffield & Dearne AC, coach John Lane) PB 5823 points, Lewis Church (Tonbridge Ac, coach David Hull) PB 5587 points, Abigail Pawlett (Trafford AC, coach Ashley Brown) PB 4325, Jordanna Morrish (Basingstoke & Mid Hants AC, coach Rafer Joseph) PB 4025 points.
Speaking on the opportunity, Vicki Griffiths England Athletics Team operations manager said: “Congratulations to the athletes and to their personal coaches who have been selected to represent England at this event. As top finishers at the England Championships, they all have shown great early season form which they will be hoping to build on in Tallinn. The team will be supported by a fantastic team of support staff, and we are hopeful of fantastic performances across the board.”
Basingstoke coach Rafer Joseph has also got a call-up for international duty to take an under-20 Combined Events team to Norway next weekend. He will mentor some new coaches along the way.
