MAGISTRATES have fined a Basingstoke man who stole alcohol and chocolate from a Sainsbury's store.
On Tuesday, January 16, Jonathan Hashmi, of no fixed abode in Basingstoke, stole chocolate and alcohol worth £54 belonging to Sainsbury's in Basingstoke.

On the same date at a Sainsbury's store, in Wallop Drive, Hashmi towards two other people used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause them to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them.
During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, January 17, the 42-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences.
Magistrates ordered fines of £160 and court costs of £40 to be paid.
