A JEWELLERY shop in Basingstoke is celebrating 50 years of trading in the town.
F.Hinds originally opened its doors in Basingstoke at 8 Fulham House in 1969. The branch then temporality moved to 12 Mayfair House in 1999, before relocating to its current home at 31b Festival Place in 2002.
Branch manager Robert said: “This is a wonderful milestone for our store.”
He added: “Here at F.Hinds in Basingstoke, we are extremely proud to have reached our 50-year anniversary.
"It has been an honour to provide the local community with a wide range of quality products and services over these past 50 years, and we hope everyone will join us in our celebrations – well done and congratulations to all.”

Over the past 50 years, it has become a well-loved part of the community. The store is part of the nationally celebrated F.Hinds family business that first launched 168 years ago in 1856.
Sales director Jeremy Hinds added: “Congratulations to the team at Basingstoke for helping us to achieve a wonderful milestone. We fully appreciate their hard work and efforts to bring the F.Hinds experience to our customers and I want to wish the team all the very best for the future.”
To mark its anniversary, customers that make purchases between Friday, January 26 and Friday, February 9 will be in with the chance of winning a £50.
Customers that want to take part can simply make any purchase in the Basingstoke branch during the campaign dates and be signed up to F.Hinds’ loyalty programme Love Hinds.
F.Hinds employs over 1,000 staff across 117 stores in the UK. The independent business was also recently named Retailer of the Year, at the UK Jewellery Awards 2023, and was crowned Family Business of the Year 2023.
