A MAN has been arrested in Basingstoke after officers found more than 40 wraps of suspected Class A drugs during a proactive patrol.
Officers spotted what they thought to be suspicious activity at the playing fields at Upper Sherborne Road at around 12.30pm on Monday, January 29.
A man attempted to run from officers but was detained at the scene. A large quantity of suspected Class A drugs and cash was found.
A 21-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.
He has been released on bail until April 29 while enquiries continue.
