A MAN from Basingstoke who caught using a phone while behind the wheel has been banned and handed points.
Samuel Tweddle, of Kings Road, on Monday, February 27 last year drove a BMW on the M3 southbound in Hook while using a mobile phone.
Tweddle pleaded not guilty to the offence on Monday, January 22 but was found guilty on the same day.

During the hearing he was sentenced for the driving offence and magistrates disqualified him from driving for six months and handed him six penalty points.
He must also pay a fine of £60, court costs of £400 and a surcharge fee of £24.
