A man was taken to hospital after being attacked by an unknown weapon, police have said.
Officers were called to the footpath near Buckskin Lane at 11.24pm on Tuesday, January 30, after receiving reports of an assault.
A man in his 40s was found with facial injuries after being attacked by an unknown weapon, according to officers.
He was taken to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital to receive treatment.

A police cordon was in place on the footpath until 10.30am on Wednesday, January 31, the Gazette understands.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers have launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting 44240044241."
