AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a Hampshire man who was involved in a car crash near Alton.
Thomas Collins, 26, of Whyteways, Eastleigh, died at Southampton General Hospital on November 2 after being involved in a collision on the A31 near Alton on October 28.
Area coroner Jason Pegg said the initial cause of death was multiple injuries caused by the crash, as well as bronchopneumonia, however, a full inquest will take place on January 27.

Mr Pegg opened and adjourned the inquest at Winchester Coroners’ Court on Thursday, February 1.
Mr Collins' family previously paid tribute to him, saying: "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Tom. He was a kind-hearted soul who always wore his heart on his sleeve.
"He suffered from ADHD, but he didn’t let that affect his love for life.
"He will be very much missed by his family and friends and by anyone who supported him, in both his social and professional life.”
