AN AWARD-winning comedian is coming to perform in Basingstoke and comedy lovers are invited along to enjoy the show.
Andy Parson is a multi-award winning comedian who started his career writing for Week Ending and Smith and Jones, and went on to become one of the main writers on the ground-breaking Spitting Image satirical puppet show.
As well as being a regular on Mock The Week for 10 years, Andy has performed on numerous radio and TV shows including QI, Saturday Live, The Stand Up Show, and The Comedy Store.

To date, he has done six sell-out national tours and released four DVDs — Britain’s Got Idiots, Gruntled, Slacktivist and Live And Unleashed – But Naturally Cautious — as well as releasing a podcast Slacktivist Action Group, recorded monthly at the Soho Theatre.
He has also appeared on Question Time, The Daily Politics, This Week and Newsnight, and writes columns for The Independent.
Bafflingly Optimistic started in August at the Edinburgh Festival where every ticket was sold (including an extra show), followed by a successful autumn tour. The Spring Tour of the show sees Andy return to many favourites – including Basingstoke.
He will be heading to The Haymarket on Friday, February 23.
The performance is suitable for those aged 14 and over. Children younger than this will not be admitted, even if accompanied by an adult.
